PLTW Digital Electronics
This course is open to students in grades 9 -12 with demonstrated proficiency in Algebra. Students will study electrical circuits, solder their own circuit boards, create truth tables using binary logic, write logic expressions to describe real world situations, simplify their logic using Boolean Algebra and K-Maps, use MultiSim software to design AOI (And/Or/Inverter) circuits using their logic, export their circuits to a programmable chip, interface with devices created with VEX components, and program Boe-Bots. Below are some examples of projects students will complete throughout the course.
