My name is Madame Ebling, and I'm so excited to be returning to WHS' World Languages Department as the French teacher. I'll be teaching levels one through five in French, as well as helping coach the Whippets in Cross Country and Soccer this year.
Whitewater is in a great location, smack dab in the middle of Milwaukee and Madison, where French still has a strong presence. WHS emphasizes the importance of lifelong learning, while providing ample opportunity for students to continue their education with UW-Whitewater just around the corner. With under 600 students, Whitewater provides a unique opportunity for teachers to work closely with students, parents, and colleagues. Not to mention, WHS has a strong and competitive athletics program, which is a force to be reckoned with!
A Quick Introduction!
Born and raised in Naperville, IL, I moved to Milwaukee in 2010 to attend the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. Majoring in French, World Languages Education, and minoring in English as a Second Language, I studied abroad in Paris for a semester, volunteered on campus, and attended the Honors College, all before graduating in 2014. I taught English in a public high school, as well as in a private university in Nice, France for a year. This past summer, I led American high schoolers abroad for two months in Toulouse with CIEE's French Language and Culture Program. I am also thrilled to be going back to Europe this summer with the Spanish trip as a chaperone! Viva la vida loca!
