To have another language is to possess a second soul.

Bonjour!
I am very excited to be joining the wonderful staff at Whitewater High School for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year. I can't wait to share my passion for French with students during my first year of teaching. I love working with students to help them not only increase their proficiency in the target language, but also to help them develop important skills as they learn about the world around them.

A Little Bit About Me
I obtained my degree in Communication and French from Ripon College in 2014. At the time, I was pursuing a career in journalism, so I moved to Paducah, Kentucky for a year where I worked as a copy editor for a media group. I quickly realized that journalism was not the right field for me. I moved back home to Waukesha, Wisconsin and began substitute teaching. This is when I truly fell in love with teaching. I returned to Ripon in 2015 to obtain my teaching license in both French and ESL (English as a Second Language). I recently completed my student teaching placement in the Oshkosh Area School District. Despite my original career path, I have always been passionate about my French studies. I have spent time in France both for vacation and for work as an au pair for a French family.

In my spare time, I enjoy going for runs and hikes, working out, spending time outside, reading, trying new recipes, and traveling whenever possible!
