Trio Competes in Speech Bowl at UWW

On Saturday, March 11th, three Whitewater High School students competed at the annual UW-Whitewater Speech Bowl. Seniors Sandra Javier Lopez and Aileen Perez competed in the Oratory category, and Junior Emerson Ellenwood competed in Extemporaneous Speaking. Each student competed against at least 30 other competitors from Southern Wisconsin schools of all sizes and levels of experience. Although we didn't medal in any event, Coach Miller and Coach McCulloch are proud of these three students for taking a risk and trying something new, and we are looking forward to growing our program next season! Interested students should look for communication about joining next year's team as early as next September!
