Students in Ms. Lynn Weilbrenner's Advanced Foods Class learned about culture and food from a guest teacher today. WHS multilingual teacher Ms. Silvana del Val shared all about her home country of Argentina and taught the students all about one of its national foods, the empanada. She then demonstrated how to "repulgar" the empanadas which means use their thumbs to seal them making continuous folds leaving the final look of a twist. Students enjoyed practicing "repulgando" their empanadas.
