The WHS Girls’ Tennis team opened the new WHS courts with an exhibition match against members of the Whitewater Unified School District Faculty Staff team. The match was the first of its kind and not the last. It was a huge success! Plans are underway for next year!
The WHS Girls' tennis team won the spirited matchup 8-3. Both teams celebrated at the end of the match with a special “Taco Tuesday” meal in the WHS cafeteria. The match featured a spirited event between the number one doubles team of Izzy Lawton and Abby Treder, who upset the “Mathletes” doubles team featuring Mr. Kevin Ditter and Mr. Gavin Van Epps by a score of 6-0.
The entire WHS Girls’ team would like to thank all of the faculty and staff for playing in the 1st Annual Tennis Exhibition match. The best darn tennis manager in the Rock Valley Conference, Claire Yang, took the pictures.
