AVID Elective students and Student Council members attended the Jostens Renaissance Conference, “I Love Mondays,” at Sun Prairie West High School on Thursday, October 1. The kids were joined by students from other schools around Wisconsin to focus on improving school climate and boosting community morale. Students participated in energetic workshops and heard inspiring speakers, Dr. Phil Campbell and Dr. Lori Hayes, who shared innovative strategies for recognizing academic achievement and personal growth. By discovering creative ways to celebrate both students and staff, attendees gain practical tools to foster a sense of belonging throughout their halls. Returning to WHS with some tools and strategies, the students began to brainstorm ideas on how to continue and increase a positive school culture.
