The bikes are ready, the preparation is done, and Class of 2007 Whippet Holly Mathews is ready to race at the inaugural UCI Gravel World Championships on Saturday, October 8 —140km on a course in the Veneto region of Italy that has something for everyone!
Before a big race like this, Holly says she finds herself reflecting on the prior events that happened to get there. For her to arrive in Vincenza at her first World Championship race has taken significant time, energy, and effort from the people around her— a network of people who have continually lifted her up and who have supported her through the highs and lows.
