The Whitewater Girls’ Basketball Team travelled to McFarland for their first conference match up on Friday, November 18. Both teams came out with intensity on defense keeping the game scoreless for the first 3 minutes.
Then, McFarland found their groove on offense going on a 12-point scoring run. They kept their defense tight, forcing turnovers and making it difficult for us to get the ball inside the lane.
It was a tough loss for the Whippets losing 26-72.
Calli Grosinske led the Whippets with 9 points and 3 rebounds. Kindyl Kilar followed with 6 points and 3 rebounds, and Cali Kopecky scored 4 points and led in rebounds with 6.
The Whippets will travel to Big Foot High School on Tuesday.
